Overview
Pratham Youth Community (PYC) is a youth-led initiative focused on empowering Gen Z through educational programs, creative events, and a strong sense of community. The goal was to build a digital home that reflects their vibrant energy, encourages interaction, and fosters real-world impact.
This case study covers how I approached the challenge of designing a visually expressive, interactive, and user-friendly website that connects with Gen Z while staying true to PYC’s mission of inclusivity, growth, and collaboration.
The Challenge
PYC's digital presence lacked energy, engagement, and relevance to their core audience. The challenge was to reimagine their online identity and design a website that speaks Gen Z—visually dynamic, easy to navigate, and full of personality.
Design Process
1. Information Architecture
Mapped out the core structure for clarity:
Home
About Us
Membership
2. Wireframing
Low-fidelity wireframes helped validate layout ideas early with stakeholders.
Tools used: Figma
3. Visual Design
PYC’s branding uses bold, high-contrast colors, dynamic typography, and illustrations.
Key design choices:
Neon gradients + deep purples for energy
Rounded elements and cards for friendliness
Motion (microinteractions, transitions) to enhance engagement
4. Prototyping & Interactions
Using Framer, I brought life to the design:
Smooth scroll interactions
Animated hero sections
Hover effects for CTAs
5. Mobile-First Approach
Since Gen Z primarily browses via phone, I prioritized mobile responsiveness with intuitive gestures and clean layouts.

Learnings
Designing for Gen Z means blending authenticity with tech-savvy interactions.
Animation adds life, but only when it supports UX.
Involving users early helps guide better decisions.
